Our transitional kitchen designs, which are available at our Cesar NYC kitchen flagship showroom in Manhattan, NYC, blend the timelessness of traditional kitchen design with the sleek and contemporary feel of modern kitchens. Transitional kitchen design is particularly exciting for our kitchen designers at Cesar because it allows them to borrow the finest elements from two categories – the old world style of traditional kitchens and the ingenuity and innovation of modern kitchens. At Cesar NYC Kitchens, we are proud to work both on transitional Italian kitchens for residential projects and commercial projects.

I used a few neutral touches in our Modern Rustic Fall Kitchen for a simple, yet cozy feel!
I’ve been getting our house ready for Fall and I’m almost done! So far we’ve shared our Fall Mantel and a Fall DIY. I also wrote some design posts about decorating with textiles, Fall Home Decor, and using Art in the Fall. Today I’m here to share our Modern Rustic Fall Kitchen with a group of lovely bloggers. MartyofA Stroll Thru Life hosts this tour every year but was unfortunately unable to host due to some personal reasons. She shared a little about it on her blog, so please make sure and head over and show her some love and keep her and her family in your prayers!!

Let’s talk about some changes I’ve made to our Kitchen. We remodeled it almost two years ago and to be honest there was always something a little off to me. However, when you finish a space and there’s a ton others waiting to be done you just have to move on. Things have calmed down a little so I was able to finally tweak things in here!
One of the biggest things was our open shelving. I wanted it to feel open because it’s a small dark space, but it almost felt too open. We hung some art in the kitchen and hanging this piece of art instantly made it feel more home-y!
Once I had the art in here I knew I needed a new rug. This one has been in my entryway for a while so I borrowed it. My entryway isn’t finished yet, so no harm done ;). Our kitchen is this awkward size of being almost big enough for a skinny island, but not quite. It cuts down on all that empty space in the middle and pulls the room together grounding it.
Modern Rustic Fall Kitchen Decor
I’ve always had copper accents in here because I just love copper with the black cabinets, but it feels even more appropriate in the Fall.

I always have to have some kind of a plant, faux or real next to the sink. I’m not sure why but it just feels wrong if something isn’t there!
Overall I didn’t do much in the kitchen. I prefer to keep my countertops as empty as possible. I don’t do well with clutter on counters. It’s kind of a pet peeve. My goal one day is to have a huge pantry where all this stuff can be hidden and then I wouldn’t need as many cabinets in my actual kitchen.
Kitchen Decor Ideas For Limited Spaces
I get a lot of questions on my open shelving asking if I like it and if I’d do it again. I’m torn. I do love the quick easy access to things we use every day like cups and bowls because it never really has time to collect dust, but sometimes I just want to shut the doors. My opnion is that I would do open shelving again if it wasn’t my only upper storage. I do miss upper cabinets and feel like having a little of both would be ideal.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour! Make sure and tag your photos with #MyFallDesign so I can see what you’ve been adding to your homes and I’ll share some of my favorites throughout the season!
